Across Scotland, volunteer rainfall observers are collecting extremely valuable rainfall data on a daily basis to improve weather and flood forecasting. SEPA would love you to join this band of volunteers, and has created a brand new online portal to make it easy to gather and share your data.
The data is used by SEPA, the Met Office and other organisations to support important services such as weather and flood forecasting, and the management of our water resources. In turn, we hope you enjoy taking part in this project, and the experience of sharing and discussing your data with us and fellow volunteers.
The data entry portal is open to any person or organisation who observes rainfall. Simply get a rain gauge, sign up and start entering your data.
